A lot more women gratuate from universities in Iceland than men. For the school year 2009-2010 around 1200 women graduated but only around 660 men.
A total of 1003 women graduated from high schools during that same school year, but only 856 men.
These numbers can be found in a new brochure from the Icelandic human rights centre. The brocure was published in honour of the International Women’s Day.
In health sciences a total of 541 women graduated but only 76 men. A total of 691 women graduated in education but only 145 men. But in engineering, production and construction a total of 222 men graduated against 151 women.
