Speaking on arrival from an inspection tour of the campus, the Head of the Inspection Team, Senator Jonathan Zwingina told Newsmen that the panel was happy with the progress so far made on the project.
During the visit, Zwingina said the team met with the Ghanaian Government officials at the National Accreditation Board.
He commended the Ghanaian Government for the foresight which, according to him, made it possible for small university colleges to exist with big universities, adding that the initiative will expand university study facilities and relieve the government of the burden.
Zwingina lauded the National Accreditation Board for the transparency in Ghana and commended the Board for the quality assurance procedures and standards which it had put in place.
He assured the Board that the team made up of Nigerians, Ghanaians, British and American citizens are committed to contributing their quota to the good work that is being done by the Ghanaian authorities.
Responding, the Executive Secretary, Professor Kwame Dattey, said the Board welcomes the involvement of the Nigerian group in the provision of tertiary education in Ghana, adding that the development would add value to the aspirations of cooperation and integration in the West African sub region.
Senator Zwingina was accompanied on the trip by Professor David Iornem, who is the Project Director, Prince H. Masevh, the Auditor and the Business Development Manager, Miss Doo Iornem.
