Joy Patricia Harrison has been appointed Bursar at the St Augustine Campus, for a two-year period.
Ms. Harrison, a Jamaican national, is no stranger to The University of the West Indies, having spent 18 years at the Vice Chancellery (Office of Finance) at the Mona Campus, three years of which were in the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
The UWI continues to benefit from a wealth of knowledge and experience which she acquired during her 18 years of working in the private financial sector. She is a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.
Ms. Harrison takes over from Ms. Elawatee Dookaran, who has been acting as Campus Bursar at St. Augustine since November 7th 2012. The University takes this opportunity to thank Ms. Dookaran for her service as she returns to her prior post as Senior Accountant at the St. Augustine Bursary, and to welcome Ms Harrison.
