AFRICA, Nigeria, Turkish Universities Woe Nigerian Students

The Turkish Education Exhibition opened Tuesday at the Nigerian Turkish International College (NTIC) Abuja promising Nigerian students of affordable tuition and employment after graduation.

Opening the Exhibition, Emin Godek, Director, Aydinlar Educational Limited, said 550 Nigerian students including those from NTIC were admitted into various Turkish universities which informed the decision to hold an exhibition to showcase the potentials of the universities
He said, "The good thing about this whole arrangement is that the foreign students who come to Turkish universities both government and private owned pay less than what an average Turkish student will pay."

A parent Adeboye Akinwole who attended the exhibition said, "At least with this we have another choice other than the craze for western education in America and the UK. I think they are doing us a great service if we have to pay lower that what the indigenes are paying because I know in most schools, foreigners pay higher fees."
